Market Wrap: Cooley Auctions ramps up for the spring selling season

The residential real estate market has maintained stability over July remaining relatively unchanged since our last market report. July saw 288 auctions go under the Cooley Auctions hammer and we achieved some good results. However we have noticed that buyer activity at auctions is a little tighter, which is in line with agents reporting fewer buyer enquiries at open house inspections.

We are already seeing the volume of auctions substantially increase for the first week of September, indicating that sellers are holding off to capitalise on the spring selling season. I believe that spring will be very rewarding and we are expecting a strong volume of auctions and a strong clearance rate, that may prove to be better than what we are currently experiencing. As July came to a close we had an outstanding night at the Double Bay Auction Centre selling 10 out of 10 properties. Our market is still in good shape and there’s no immediate reason for it not to perform well this spring. more info.

Cooley Auctions plays a starring role in TV’s Under the Hammer

As many of you will know we’ve had a very exciting month in the media. We had the fantastic privilege of participating in Channel Seven’s new documentary series Under the Hammer that premiered on Monday 26 July.

When Channel Seven approached us to see if we would like to feature in the series we jumped at the chance because we knew it would be a fantastic opportunity to dispel some of the myths and fears around the auction process, as well as promote its many benefits as a method of sale. more info.
