Cooley Auctions forecasts a booming Sydney real estate market with a mammoth month of auctions

Sydney’s leading independent auctioneering company Cooley Auctions today confirmed solid growth in the Sydney real estate market by announcing a record 490 auctions this month, with 46 properties going under the Cooley Auctions’ hammer in a single night on Monday 22 March at the Double Bay Auction Centre.

In the month of February Cooley Auctions achieved a market share of 45 per cent in the Eastern Suburbs according to Australian Property Monitors, as the highly sort after area reached an auction clearance rate of 84 per cent.

Cooley Auctions Director Damien Cooley said the huge volume of auctions was indicative of a booming Sydney real estate market. “We’re breaking lots of records with 490 auctions in one month, 46 auctions in one night and a market share of 45 per cent in the Eastern Suburbs in February. These results are unheard of and are evidence of a very strong real estate market, increasing stock levels and a lot of competition amongst buyers."
