The cold snaps up good selling prospects for vendors
If you don’t have it you can’t sell it. In our current market, agents investing time into carrying the right stock and being diligent with their vendor and buyer meetings are prospering. We often see great agents shine in changing markets and clearly our market has changed considerably over the past few months. With winter now upon us the market will continue to change as reduced stock levels, characteristic of the cold season, provide some very good selling opportunities for vendors.
It is easy to get caught up in “the market” and let negativity creep into our headspace. We don’t control the market but we do control our attitude and our hunger to succeed. I believe we are one of the most fortunate industries on the planet because all we need to do is prospect, list, negotiate and sell - and have fun while we do it. Concentrate on what you do well and be the best you can be. Educate your clients on current market conditions by helping vendors understand the importance of true market value and helping buyers appreciate the opportunistic time to be buying and to move quickly. One guarantee in this industry is the property cycle. History shows that when we come out the other side our market will flourish at a rate that buyers will struggle to keep up with.
A great mentor of mine once said, “It’s not what you earn, it’s what you do with it that counts”. What investment properties have you bought recently?
